Staffordshire, UK — March 2026
Independent fragrance brand COW Home & Body has been featured in the Express & Star following the rapid growth of the business from a kitchen start-up in 2022 to a thriving warehouse and shop in Staffordshire.
Founder Ryan Pritchard began creating home fragrance products in his kitchen just over three years ago, inspired by a passion for home interiors and scent. What started as a small range of fragrances has since grown into a diverse collection of bath, body and home fragrance products sold across the UK.
The Express & Star visited the company’s warehouse and shop in Hednesford to learn more about the story behind the brand and how the business has expanded in such a short time.
“We started with just 15 fragrances and a small range of products,” said Ryan. “The goal was simply to create something that people would love and enjoy in their homes.”
Since launching, COW Home & Body has expanded significantly, introducing hundreds of products including wax melts, whipped soap, bath bombs, body lotions and interior mists.
Ryan runs the business alongside his partner Calum Wilkes, who is responsible for producing many of the brand’s bath and body products, including their best-selling whipped soap.
The versatile whipped soap, which can be used as a body wash, shaving cream and bubble bath, has been one of the brand’s most popular products since launching in 2023.
In 2024 the business moved from a home workshop in Brownhills to a dedicated warehouse and shop space at Anglesey Business Park in Hednesford, allowing the company to expand production and welcome customers in person during selected open days.
In addition to online sales across the UK, COW Home & Body regularly attends markets and local events across the Midlands.
Ryan believes the success of the business has been driven by a focus on quality products and affordable pricing.
“We’ve always focused on offering high-quality fragrances at fair prices. We know what it costs to make our products and we want people to feel they’re getting great value,” he said.
The brand has also received industry recognition, winning several awards including Best Home, Bath & Body Fragrances Producer 2025 – West Midlands at the SME UK Enterprise Awards.
The feature in the Express & Star highlights the journey of the small Staffordshire business and its growth from a kitchen start-up to a recognised local brand.
